The Audacity of Peace

There is a scripture:

“…and the peace of God, which passeth all understand shall keep your hears and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

Where do we find it? When it’s necessary to ease the trouble heartbeat, where can it be located? The magnificent element of peace is this: it an be attained NOW. The paradox? In order to understand the true nature of peace then life must have turbulence.

The course in which we travel is planned by the need to stay in control of situations that are, in most cases, beyond our control. Personally, I tend to want things to go according to the structure of Calvary; completed forgiveness, however, forgiveness doesn’t come to make me feel good. Forgiveness is there to remit transgression. As a friend once told me,

“My apology doesn’t have to be convincing to be valid.”

Nevertheless, there is this element in life assisting us in the storms called Peace. Not only peace but peace that transcends the mind process of any given situation. It is not by mistake everything happening to us can, at times, seem hard to bear. Oh, to know Jesus. To know Jesus. To know Jesus. To know Him.

The word know means ‘to commit to memory’ or ’to place firmly in thought’ or ‘to believe in the certainty of something.’ It’s by reference, retention, and remembrance that Christ reigns in the mind. The bible states to *commit thy ways unto the Lord and thy thoughts will be established. More plainly, when your actions are solely based on God’s goodness than foundation of your mind is restructure in holiness. I say again, Oh to know Jesus.

It’s the audacity of peace to maintain the strength of accepting life as is. Not to fight against the grain but journeying along not to resist the things that come because they must. Peace is not by what you can do, it’s delegate by who you are and you are in Christ.
